The Official The Sharks Watch – Marinemaster Classic
Rugby in South Africa is big! It`s like soccer in Germany or basketball in the States. For example the South African national team (The Springboks) is always amongst the top challengers at the Rugby World Cup. Some of the Springbok players are in the service of the The Sharks team during Super Rugby and Currie Cup. If you want to learn more about The Sharks click here: www.sharksrugby.co.za
To commemorate the partnership with The Sharks and to celebrate the Players that have achieved the 100 game milestone, we are extremely proud to present the Fortis Marinemaster Classic The Sharks Edition! This timepiece with the personalised Sharks dial will be available in limited numbers. Hand assembled at the Fortis factory in Grenchen, Switzerland. The first production run of only 30 pieces is open to orders and will arrive in October.
FORTIS created the Marinemaster Classic after thorough deliberations and several design drafts: a sport watch that will withstand every wave and dive. The signature “saw blade” turning bezel, with it’s clear silver structures, rounds off the overall image of a real Aquatis watch!
A proud partner
The Fortis Headquarter in Grenchen is very proud to be the new official partner for the professional South African rugby team The Sharks and from the beginning it was clear to customize our Classic Marinemaster as their official team watch. It is a 42mm stainless steel case with a black dial, white numerals and markers. It features a turning saw blade bezel with a small superluminova dot. Hands, numerals and markers are coated with white superluminova that glows blue in the dark. The heartbeat is given by an automatic Swiss Made movement ETA 2836. As the watch has been made for diving and other water activities it is waterproof up to 20 bar. The watch will be provided with either a leather performance strap or a black silicone strap and of course all of the watches will be tagged with a limited edititon number. This state-of-the-art timepiece is only available at our South African partner Ederick de Wet based in Cape Town – so if you are interested in having one of these 30 pieces go and visit his website www.fortis-sa.com to receive all the information.
