TOKEI BEGIN Daily Watch Section Grand Prix

Fortis Orchestra a.m. : Perfect for mechanical watch beginners and daily use by watch lovers

Orchestra is included in a series of Terrestis Collection which was designed to show respect to the old Fortis collections in 1930 – 1940. Fortis reminds us of robust chronograph that is adopted by Russian Federal Space Agency, but Orchestra stands at the other end and we were succumbed by its elegant feature. It has an atmosphere derived from Bauhaus style, also the naming – Orchestra a.m. for silver dial, Orchestra p.m. for anthracite dial – adds a chic taste to it. The simple feature is accented with teardrop-shaped lug used to be prevalent in 1930 – 1940, that looks quaint and elegant. The case and lug are not separated parts but produced in one solid piece by using state-of-art technique, which makes a retro-styled design classy. Also, we appreciate some elements like a domed sapphire crystal difficult to shape, or so called “bombe dial”, that are favored by the experienced. It looks good when it goes to a jacket made with natural fabric. The fact that Fortis used to produce such elegant watches in the past has not well known, and we can learn the history of watch design from this model. Fortis Orchestra is recommended to all the public from beginners to watch lovers. We are fascinated by Fortis’s product development in this classic line in the future.
