Dear my Cosmonauts,
My good old friend.
My lifetime companion.
My love. My tool.
You will always have a special place in my heart. Together we‘ve gone through so many adventures. We‘ve seen the world from outer space. You made me realize how beautiful life on earth is. Every single day for nearly a quarter of a century you‘ve been at my side creating memories and history.
You‘ve done a brilliant job.
Thank you and enjoy your retirement.
Forever Yours
The first watch to be utilized for space missions by Roskosmos was the legendary Cosmonauts Chronograph.
Back in 1994 the very first Official Cosmonauts has been chosen to be part of the official equipment of Roskosmos. With the next gen Official Cosmonauts in 2003 Fortis redefined
the space watch. The first ever watch built with space travel in mind. Timeless by design, reliable by nature, the Fortis Cosmonauts Chronograph stayed in the hearts of
astronauts of the early MIR and ISS missions to this very day.
On one EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity) mission the Official Cosmonauts Chronograph even got used as a hammer to punch a rivet back into the International Space Station. Through
the years Fortis created a variety of versions and functions for Roskosmos. Including rare titanium versions or even mechanical alarms complications which can remind Kosmonauts
to go back to the station once oxygen levels get low.
Together with visionary organizations such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Austrian Space Forum Fortis has embarked on missions designed to test and prepare humans for life on Mars. Numerous simulations and tests have been conducted with the goal of analyzing the possible effects of Mars’ environment on the first settlers.
In 2021 Fortis is again writing human history. Fortis paves the way to Mars.
Stay tuned.
