Fortis Introduces the First Marinemaster with DLC Coating

With the new Marinemaster M-44 DLC, Fortis expands its oldest collection with a highly resistant case surface. The Dianoir® Diamond-Like Carbon coating reaches around 4,500 Vickers, making the Marinemaster roughly twenty times harder than conventional stainless steel.

With the new Marinemaster M-44 DLC, Fortis introduces a full Dianoir® Diamond-Like Carbon coating to its oldest collection for the first time. The surface reaches around 4,500 Vickers, which corresponds to a hardness roughly twenty times higher than conventional stainless steel. This significantly increases resistance against scratches, abrasion and corrosion.

The Marinemaster remains true to its role as a professional dive watch. The 44 mm case is water resistant to 500 meters, the screw-down crown features a triple gasket construction and high-performance FKM seals support reliable sealing even in demanding environments.

A defining element of the Marinemaster is the bi-directional Gear Bezel, which can be mechanically secured using the Fortis Lock System. Once set, the timing position remains firmly locked in place.

Inside operates the Fortis Werk 11, an automatic manufacture movement developed together with Kenissi. It offers a 70-hour power reserve and features variable inertia regulation for stable rate performance.

The new models Gravity Black and Black Resin differ mainly in their dial design. While the Gravity Black focuses on a technical monochrome appearance, the Black Resin introduces golden accents that catch the light like reflections on the water’s surface.

With the DLC version, Fortis continues to evolve the Marinemaster and strengthens the collection’s position as a robust dive instrument built for demanding environments.
